About Sussex Tutors
Tutoring with Nicholas Foster
With over thirty years’ experience teaching children from Year 2 up to University level, Nicholas Foster of Sussex Tutors has worked with hundreds of children and young adults.
“It is a joy to watch them grow and thrive and reach their full potential.”
Nicholas Foster
The majority of children I work with have dyslexia, dyspraxia and/or ADHD, but not all. Every child is different and my approach is based on individual need. Some may just need a boost in their learning whilst others will benefit from longer term, more intensive support.
After my BA degree in English, I was fortunate to study with Dr Beve Hornsby at the Hornsby International Centre; one of the great pioneers in the research, education and the advancement of dyslexia.
I have been the Head of Learning Support and a Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) in a leading West Sussex independent primary and secondary school, a specialist teacher, tutor and coach.
Over the years I have developed my practice, and see myself not only as a teacher but also as an enabler as confidence is the key to academic achievement. Additionally, I have also trained as a Mindfulness teacher and an NLP Master Practitioner.
